Fathom Systems acquire Westflo Technical Services Ltd.

Fathom Systems are delighted to confirm the acquisition of Ellon based Westflo Technical Services.

Founded in 2006 by John Florence, Westflo have built a reputable track record in providing a value for money service to the Commercial Diving sector.  Primarily offering on site instrumentation, calibration and certification services, Westflo have a regular and scheduled presence on a number of Dive Support Vessels and shore based facilities in the UK and Continental Europe.  For the last 11 years, major Dive System operators have affirmed their loyalty to Westflo and have grown accustomed to the Company’s presence on board their vessels during port calls and maintenance periods alike.

This acquisition will allow Fathom Systems to grow the current business by providing additional services alongside our current offerings, as well as entering into new markets that are currently managed by Westflo.

Immediately there will be two new members of staff added to the Fathom team in support of this exciting development, and this is anticipated to grow in parallel with other business streams.

Westflo currently engage primarily in the Commercial Diving sector offering a range of services that includes Analogue & Digital Gauge Calibration in accordance with IMCA D018 guidelines; Pressure Relief Valve Test, Setting & Calibration; Pressure Vessel Inspection; Instrumentation upgrades and replacement parts.  Services are provided using the appropriate test equipment fully calibrated by a UKAS accredited test house and from an extensive range of assets to cover all eventualities.  This is further enhanced by the provision of replacement components at a time when a gauge is withdrawn from operation.  The nature of the business lends itself to other industry areas including onshore plant facilities, marine sector vessels, offshore platforms and FPSO’s with Westflo already appointed as the service provider for several non-Diving Clients.
