Chamber Shutdown Control

Chamber Shutdown Control

The architecture of the Chamber Shutdown Control system is designed with two Depth Monitors connecting to a single Chamber Shutdown Control module – where the Depth Monitors are each assigned to a separate chamber compartment, but where the two chamber compartments will typically share a single ECS circuit.  This would typically apply to an Entry Lock / Main Lock (or Living Chamber) pair, or perhaps a twin TUP system.

The main functions of the Chamber Shutdown Control unit are as follows:

      • To combine the functions of two related Depth Monitors into a single unit
      • To provide status indication of shutdown valve positions
      • To provide the facility to override the automatic shutdown control
      • To provide a common blower shutdown circuit
      • To provide a protected manual Emergency Stop shut-in circuit
      • To manage power supplies and circuit protection for the complete system
