Chamber Shutdown Control
Two chamber shutdown control with common environmental control system
The architecture of the Chamber Shutdown Control system is designed with two Depth Monitors connecting to a single Chamber Shutdown Control module where the Depth Monitors are each assigned to a separate chamber compartment. The two chamber compartments will typically share a single ECS circuit such as an Entry Lock / Main Lock (or Living Chamber) pair, or perhaps a twin TUP system.
The main functions of the Chamber Shutdown Control unit are as follows:
- Combines functions of two related Depth Monitors into single unit
- Status indication of shutdown valve positions
- Override facility for the automatic shutdown control
- Provides a common blower shutdown circuit
- Protected manual Emergency Stop shut-in circuit
- Manages power supplies and circuit protection for the complete system
