Hyperbaric Welding Application

In addition to the conventional everyday use on a DSV, the Fathom Systems Emergency Bell Communicator System, or commonly referred to as ‘Thru Water Communications’ also lends itself to bespoke project related applications such as subsea hyperbaric welding.  This is essentially the same system as described for a single or twin bell system, albeit with subsea installed equipment mounted within the weld habitat. The penetrator cable assembly that would normally be installed on the bell is replaced with a subsea cable assembly linking the oil filled communications unit with the ‘bell emergency communicator’.

Fathom Systems have successfully supplied equipment to two clients for hyperbaric welding applications.
