The topside electrical distribution cabinet provides isolated, protected, and redundant AC power for the SDC instrumentation and lights via the main umbilical to the AC Power Pod.

The AC cabinet is controlled locally by simple push buttons and switches.  The outputs from the AC cabinets to the SDCs are:

    • Instruments supply – isolated 230V (nominal), 60Hz.
    • External lights supply – isolated 230V (adjustable), 60Hz.

 The main supply input to the AC cabinet is:

    • 400/440V 3-Phase, 50/60Hz @ 16A (Vessel Supply).

The AC cabinet equipment can also be remotely monitored and controlled via a Profibus data link from an iBIS PLC.
