Mid-Section Blanking Plate

Mid Section Blanking Plate

The iVP modularity is further expanded with the offer of 3 different varieties of mid-section blanking plate, which as the name suggests is simply a plate inserted in a specific position in the modular assembly dictated by the clients hydraulic operational requirements. With the combination of mid-section and end blanking plates on offer it is possible to have up to 3 separate pressure inputs and 2 return to tank lines. These may be explained as follows:

    1. Pressure Only – this plate has the system hydraulic ‘pressure line’ blanked and is inserted in a system that features more than one pressure input (separated by this plate), but a common return to tank.

    2. Pressure & Tank – this plate has the system hydraulic ‘pressure line’ and the ‘tank line’ blanked and is inserted in a system that features more than one pressure input and a twin return to tank (separated by this plate). This plate must be used in conjunction with the appropriate End Blanking Plate and is commonly used in systems that may require the introduction of a 2nd type of fluid to the system such as a glycol mix.

    3. Pressure Input – this plate has the system hydraulic ‘pressure line’ blanked on one side only but features a ¼” BSPP port that allows the introduction of fluid  at system pressure and at a mid-point in the iVP manifold. This module is therefore inserted in a system that requires additional pressure input to valves installed mid-gallery that may previously have suffered from a pressure drop due to their position.
