CIM – Connector Interface Module

Connection between System Chassis modules and the remote communications devices is made using proprietary structured cabling and industrial interconnection modules commonly known as CIM (Connector Interface Module).

These modules can be mounted on DIN rail in electrical enclosures and control panels to provide a convenient method of terminating remote communications device wiring.  The modules also provide the facility for parallel connections to dual redundant System Chassis for mission critical applications and to concurrently operated systems where required.

The CIM electronics are assembled in a DIN rail mount holder and are specific to each system chassis they serve. There are a number of varieties of CIM including Simplex, Duplex, RJ11 Interface, Master Controller and Phantom Power.
